Abstract

The title and the purpose of this study are the problems faced by PT3 students in teaching and learning of Tamil language. 10 teachers out of 5 different schools were involved in this research. Questionnaires and interviews were the instruments that have been used in this research. This is a qualitative research. In this research, the reasons for students’ poor marks on PT3 Tamil language subject and also the ways to overcome those problems had been identified. Most of the problems occur from the students. Teachers should use various teaching aids which can attract the students, complete the syllabus on time and make sure students’ complete the tasks given. Students’ should try to do revisions on their own.
